You are welcome to this course, “Unity Hyper Casual Game - Exploring Hexa Sort Mechanics,” where you will be introduced to how to code the mechanisms and impacts of Hexa Sort, one of the successful hyper casual mobile games. First, we begin by constructing the Hexagonal Grid, and for this, we use Unity’s own Grid Component so that the construction appears very comprehensible. Once you get the hang of that, the next thing is to learn how to draw hexagonal grids, as seen below. You’ll then create a symmetrical hexagonal grid from the ground up, and then we will customize it to construct additional levels easily.
Finally, the next step in this design, which will be included in developing the game’s graphics, will be to pay attention to the spawning and controlling of the Hexagon Stacks to make them fit the grid properly and combine coherently. The most challenging aspect of the new operation is the merge mechanic since we have to modify and loop over every cell influenced by the prior merge. No need to panic; by the end of this course, “Unity Hyper Casual Game - Exploring Hexa Sort Mechanics,” you will succeed in managing this technicality.
Also, I will add some of the entertaining lectures about the Shaders in the Main Menu that will make your game even more cool. If you would like to know more about the more advanced features of Hexa Sort, kindly let me know. Please follow me in this class to discover and learn all the wonders of the mechanics of this trending game!
